I wanted to use some dark and neutral colours and make a calm drawing while still being dark. I used the same model as Dark Doll, from the same photo shoot, Birgitte. This was a test of some new paper I bought some weeks back. It's quite good, as I was able to create some creamy looking skin tones as well as background. I like how I was able to build many layers without it looking messy, some paper is rather difficult building layers on. I also like how the colours turned out, it really varies a lot from paper to paper. It was just some rather cheap paper I bought from the art store I usually don't visit as the location of the shop is not the best. Just a little info on the technical part.
The parts I am the most satisfied with are the fingers as well as her mouth.
I will be experimenting a bit more on this new paper, I think it has some great possibilities.
A big thank you to my friend Pauline for helping me out with the title.
Made with soft pastels on sketch paper.
