How
did you learn to draw?
Well,
all of it is selftought. My mom use to draw when she was
young, so I guess Ive inherreted some of her talent! :)
How
do you draw?
Well, it's a really difficult question. I really don't
know how to explain it. I basicly draw what I see! A lot
of people ask about my technique, but since I'm selftaught
I guess I have my own technique?!
For
how long have you been drawing?
I've been drawing since I was a little girl 8-9 y.o.I
guess. I started doing portraits when I was about 18-19
years old. The last 2 years I've been drawing really really
much.
Have
you attended any artschools?
No, it's something I've learned by myself. Both good stuff
and the mistakes!
What
materials do you use?
Paper:
I have a studio pad from Esselte size 21x29 cm., which
I use for most of my portraits.
Sometimes I use normal matte copy paper, which is very
good to coal drawings. It has a perfect surface.
Also I have a few expensive paperpads.
You can see them here.
Pencils:
I normally use Derwent - Graphic pencils. I dont't
know if they are the best, but they work fine for me.
Coal:
The coal pencils I use is Faber-Castell (Pitt Pastel).
My favourite are Soft Reisskohle 112992, it's just perfect!
Where
do you buy your materials?
Most of my stuff I've bought in Arnold Bucsk. The
paper I use in TegneCenteret ved Kgs. Nytorv.
Why
do you draw humans?
Well, I just love drawing faces/humans. Don't know why.
I think it's the challenge in getting the persons personality
to show.. there's just something about it!
