- Sweet Innocence -

This is one the most time-consuming drawings I have done. I am not sure how long it took but I do know I did it over a lot of months. I started it back in October/November, and finally finished the last piece of the skies last night. I feel really happy with this drawing and I put a lot of work into it, not only technically but emotionally. I wanted her to have that calm innocent feeling, this silent joy. When I was going for a walk earlier with my mom I was thinking the weather had that early spring feeling and it kind of reminded me of my drawing.
I used a picture of Paris Hilton as base for it, see the picture here. As you can see I changed it quite a bit though, as I didn't want to resemble her too much, but still keep the touch of her look. I fell for the pose and look on her face, something natural and sweet about it. I used forever on creating her wings, wanted them to be very detailed and perfected. The skies I wanted to keep simple and as soft as possible. At first I had made this sort of border in the edges, of lilies, but somehow it looked cluttered so I erased them in the end.
So, here she is finally – sweet innocence.

Made with graphite pencils, HB and 3B.
