The reference for my drawing was originally a photo submitted to my latest Winter Contest. However, the minute I saw it I knew I wanted to use it for a nature themed drawing instead.
I wanted to give depth to the clothing and bring out a beautiful green. I also did a lot to give the trees depth and structure.
I wanted that feeling of autumn, where the sky is grey and it is just about to rain. The leaves are falling and there is just that autumn feeling in the air.
As to her face I wanted to keep the shading rather light without too many heavy shadows, just as on the reference: >link<
I very much fell in lovewith her expression.
