- Bird without her wings -

This drawing is based on the song by Diary of Dreams – Bird without wings ll
Lyrics:
This bird so crippled - little bird
Just wants to learn to fly - Longing for the sky
Tell me fellow - sufferer - Tear apart my fate
Who broke them and why - Just another try
Tar-stained feathers - broken wings
Preachers rise your hands - Like shattered pride
Now life can be damn boring - Hunted, wanted
With your eyes raised to the sky-dancing-wild

Sophistication - Heaven , sky
Sophistication - Tell me why ?
Sophistication - Heaven, sky
Sophistication - No wings to fly

Circles, vicious circles - Faith and fate
As the wind denies my wish - Belief and doubts
How can you leave me here ? - Struggling helpless
I'm missing what's still there - Between the clouds

Broken wings - Heaven , sky
With remains of reflexes - Attempt, temptations
Trying to lift me up - Helpless cries
Far beyond the clouds - And falling nations

When I first heard this song I thought it was really scary(keep in mind I normally listen to soft music, like Britney and this was not my style at all). However I kept listening to it and I started to really like it, as it put me in such a weird mood. As with many of their other songs it contains something deep and mysterious which is really dragging. Like you can listen their songs repeatedly and still discover some new meaning. I used to listen to this song when I would go for my long runs in the early spring. I would just run till I almost couldn’t breath and afterwards I would feel so good, like such a relief of frustration and whatever was in my mind at that time.
So, in many ways this drawing is really a big part of me and is partly why I didn’t feel like finishing it up and posting till now

I used a picture for the girl, the clouds made up as well as the tree. I wanted the sky to look very torn and dark and the tree kind of creepy to make her longing for the sky even deeper/greater.
Okay, enough talk, hope you like this drawing :)
