This drawing is from the summer but took it up recently as I finally felt I could finish it. Sometimes when you are half done with something you suddenly don't feel it's looking good and you put it away to find much later that it's not really that bad. I love when that happens. I put quite some hours in it, especially since these angles are difficult to get right. After many hours of drawing and correcting I finally feel I ended up with a decent drawing with this very feel I wanted.
When I look at it I get this peaceful feel and this story forms in my head. I imagine they have been out for dinner with their friends, after a long week. Finally it's weekend and the two of them can just relax (loosing up the tie), getting ready to cuddle and sleep in each others arms. I just love that.
Models; Anja-Amanda and Nicklas, from a photo shoot early summer 09.
