How do you draw skin and hair?

Drawing Skin

1. I use a 2H pencil and do the whole face in short, close strokes until the face is smooth and even. Then I take a 3B pencil and slowly go over the skin in the darker area's.

Hair

1. I draw the ouline and I add a base color to it with a 2H pencil. Then I darken with 3B until the shades are somewhat right

I have the most trouble with hair so any tips would be great, I would very much appreciate it!
