Default Some Celebrities from a Novice Drawer

Since people here really like drawing celebrities, I'd like to offer some of my drawings.

I am a novice drawer, only learned 1-1/2 years ago. I put up stuff on my Yahoo Photos site. Please note that all photos there are presented in the same small size (33 KB or so). You might get a sharper image by downloading the full-size image, if you really need to see better.

WILLIAM SHATNER (today):

MICK JAGGER (small):

HUGH GRANT (yes, I know there was some distortion, but I drew it all in pen in one go):

Default Britney Spears

You drew Britney Spears? I saw that picture of Britney with that outfit, but it wasn't in a good way. British singer John B. satirizes things in a video made of cutout animations (needs Macromedia Flash to play):

It was hilarious. http://www.john-b.com for his regular stuff.

Someone reassured me and told me Hugh Grant's eyes look crooked in some lights, so maybe I just amplified his crooked spiritual qualities! Yeah, yeah, that's my story and I'm sticking to it!

They're good. You can definetely tell who each of them are. But the proportions are a bit off and the shading is very rough - but that's just some peoples' style sometimes.

Default Shading

The shading looks rough because in all these examples my paper size was small -- a handy 5" x 8" sketchbook. That is a tiny bit smaller than your European "A5" paper.

I picked good scan resolutions and picture size but they may blur detail. Also as I said the Yahoo site doesn't display my full-sized drawings but consistently small 33 KB .jpgs. For the full detail, download the full version.
