new to the boards, but not to drawing- 01/06/05 update

Hey guys, I had my first post in the photos section asking for a pic of Dory and here's the finished drawing:

The eagle was done as a comission for someone, and the other two are obviously wips. I'm 18 now and I was lucky enough to be taught by Lee Hammond about 6 years ago. (I've seen her name mentioned on here before which I thought was so cool!) I am very happy my parents did that for me back then, because its so much fun and so rewarding. Within the last year or so is when I've really gotten back into drawing and it's great! Well, I hope you like these and Merry Christmas!

all of them are really good, my favorite is the one of wolverine, it looks just like him and very realistic.

Thanks for the kind words, it makes me want to draw some more. I hope my friend likes Dory as much as you do.

The Dory drawing is cute, Finding Nemo is a sweet movie. Are you going to draw some of the others as well? The shading on the last drawing is really good, the shading looks very realistic on his body.

I don't know if I'll draw some other characters from Nemo or not, but it was really fun drawing Dory so I just might. (I have a few more drawings I'd like to finish first)

Well, Captain Calhoun is finished, and here he is:

For those that don't know, he is the main character from a series of Star Trek books called New Frontier. I did this as sort of a gift for somebody but also for myself. His purple eyes are one of his prominent features, so I chose to have them stand out in the picture. Hope you like it.

Amazing! your drawings are so real. The wolverine is probally the best one in my opinion.
