it looks awesome so far. the hair looks really good, you have gotten really good with the colors since your first color portrait, and the skin tone looks very smooth and the perfect color. about the shirt i think you should do the holes or whatever they are instead of coloring it in solid. it will definately take a lot more time, but i think the result will be well worth it. i think a light olive green would look really good for the shirt. i cant wait to see it when it is finished!

I would do the shirt in the colour of her eyes or of the hair. I personally don't like green to much...so I guess I would take the "sand" or the red colour of her hair.

Which pencils are you using Brian? It really looks awesome by now!

the picture looks great so far, you've done well with the skin tones.
as for the shirt, Not to use your own words against you but, "Draw what you see" if you take the easy route you won't be as happy with it as you would if you suffered the hard parts.

Here is the finished Kelly Clarkson. I did decide to go the hard route and put in the extra effort on the shirt. I could have gotten ALOT more detailed than this but I get ancy to finish drawings. I think this is my best color drawing so far. I really tried to get the skin tones right on this one. The hair was the hardest part, there were so many different colors in it. I wanted a challenge and I got it with this picture. Thank you to artsaves for providing the reference picture.

It looks amazing! I also think it's your best colour drawing! Maybe even the best at all...

How long did it take you to draw that pic? How did you get the skin that smooth? Did you smudge or mixed the colours by the "waste from sharpening" ?!?!? or how?!?
