what's wrong???--->Kristen Kreuk!

I'm really annoyed this time... I could say I wanted to try something different because I think it does look different, but in fact I wanted it to be perfect, and I think it's miles away from that. Don't even know what's so wrong, can anyone tell me?

Hi Elena,
the picture were (maybe, I guess) u took the inspiration for the drawing has a strange flair... She looks sometimes worried, sometimes angry, I couldnt catch quite good the intention, maybe it also can be a consequence of our humor, who knows... I think that the nose area could be better, thats all, everything else looks perfect.

I think you don't like it because some of the shadows make the drawing look flat; like on the top of the nose, there are two colours of shadows and one highlight - easily seperatable. Maybe it needs a smoother colourfade? Also, the shadow on the cheek, under the eye, is not rounded with the form of the cheek, and maybe that's why it looks a bit flat..

Maybe I'm wrong, but I can't think of any other reason :)

Yeah...you should check the nose and the cheek one more time...but everything else looks perfect.

the eye-area is wonderfull and perhaps the nose is like that in reality
there a human with wide noses too

Thanks a lot for pointing out what was wrong! I improved it a little bit and after looking at the drawing from some distance (and without my glasses on ) I'm kinda pleased... It's okay now , well yeah !
It's quite good that it looks so different, I was kinda stuck to this copying-issue and maybe I should get more flexible and don't force the drawing to become a perfect copy of a photograph ...
Still it's hard to accept ...
Nonetheless I'll try and make the next one look better again .

that's weird that you would choose to draw a picture that zindy already drew a year or so ago and has posted on this site. Don't get me wrong, I love the picture of Kristen, I just found it interesting that you drew the same one.

What's wrong with drawing something she has already drawn? I know she did and I seriously don't want anyone to compared me to her, if that's what you're thinking. I just found the original picture in the internet and it was the one I liked most of Kristen, and as she had many votes in my poll I "had" to draw her. Well why am I justifiing myself? I think I can draw any picture I like. Probably you think it's weird that I show it right here in Zindy's forum, but first I show all my new drawings and secondly as I've written I really had problems doing this one and was more than unpleased with it in the beginning.
Well and I don't remember who it was but some other member here has draw the picture, too, and has shown it here.
