Default How can I draw a nose that really seem to have a relief (3D)

Hi everyone,
My name is Simon and I'm spending most of my time drawing. I just love to draw famous people and to gain an ressemblance(motivating). I think it's disapointing to work 3 to 4 hours on a drawing that finally doesn't look at all like your model. I would like to have some tips on how to draw a nose that really seem to come out of the face. Cuz everytime i do one it kind of mess up the rest of the face. If i draw only shadows it doesn't look realistic and if I draw lines, the nose take a Comic-book like appareance. I dont know if you see what I mean but any tips would be welcome. By the way, I also have trouble with the size of the shoulders. Looks like kid-shoulders. .......

Hi Simon,

I remember somebody else asking that question around here (nose is difficult indeed, by the way :S), I looked it up for you, maybe it can help you:

Click here for the topic about the nose

Good luck and please post some drawings! :)
Ingrid
