I love to draw, but I have this one problem that's bugging me...
I can't seem to make the skin look "real"!! I can make the shadows and so on, but it's the other "large" parts of the face I can't seem to get right.(like the fore-head or the part of the cheeks that's above the cheekbone, the part between the nose and mouth, chin). It always seems to look like a bunch of stripes, which in fact they are-you know from the pencil, but thats just not what it should look like.. Any guide lines or maybe a way that you do it in, that would come of use? I hope you all understand what i'm referring to... ...so any help at all would be lovely!! |

Do you have a drawing online so that we can see the problem? All I can suggest is to treat all of the face as small blocks of shapes and tones which you can build up the whole face. Does that make sense?
