Default Eyelashes

Hey, does anyone have any tips for drawing eyelashes? Once in a blue moon I will get them just right, but haha, like that happens on a regular basis. They never come out how I want them to. Any ideas? By the way, very nice drawings on here. They are amazing! My jaw seriously dropped when I saw them!
Lots of Love,
Katie

I figured out how to draw life like eyelashes that look amazing. Thanks for responding though, really appreciate it, especially being new. Makes me feel so welcome. Do all newcomers feel this welcome?

I didn't really go to a tutorial. I looked at several drawings to see how that artist did the eyelashes and worked from there. I found that to get a "feathery" look for the eyelashes, don't use the tip of the pencil, hold it parallel to the paper and use the side of the pencil. Also, I think it looks more realistic if you make the eyelashes darker near the eyelid, and then lighter as you go out, and accentuate a few lashes. That's for if the eyes are closed, and I'm not sure if it really makes any sense at all. Good luck!
