Hello to all!
I think I have some problems with drawing portraits conveying emotions / expressions of the original picture. In fact it is all in the picture and I just have to look properly and draw what I see... but... is there any other trick / hint or whatever to catch the feelings somehow? ![]() original... ![]() ...and what I made of it. Something is strange... Examples and pictures are mostly welcome. Thanks in advance Lestriel P.S.: Maybe itīs the same with one of Sarah Michelle Gellar I already posted under Feedback...? . A bit boring somehow, isnīt it? (That's what I feel, at least.) |

It looks really great.
I think her mouth is a little bit wrong and there are no wrinkle between the mouth, this wrinkle is important for showing her emotions at the drawing. |

Yes, the mouth is a little bit wrong and I think her eyes are wrong, too. On the original she looks a little bit but, but on your picture she doesnīt. The hole face is a little bit too big, I think.
But I think itīs a goot drawing, especially the hair. |

What may be the problem is that the face is a little bit longer (or thinner) and more of a heart shape. The mouth and nose is great. How about some heavier tones, especially in the hair so that the face is framed. Hope that makes sense?
