I have both PS1, PS2, XBox and CameCube now, and the PS2 is pretty much the only one we use. The Xbox was used for viewing movies (there is a modchip in it) but it recently died and I havn't had it fixed yet.

What I'd really like now is to build a MAME arcade cabinet, but I don't really have anywhere to put it. There is already a motorbike parked in the living room and it's getting pretty stuffed

I think I prefer the PS2 to the other cosoles as its not too bulky, especially since they've made a new slimline version. The graphics on the X-box are better and the loading times are quicker AND you geat a built in hard drive which is another plus, but I find that the size and weight of the console is one of the main drawbacks. Its not exactly something you could carry around with you if you wanted to take it somewhere.

We have the X-Box, PS2 and a gamecube in our house. At the moment the Gamecube is the one that is played the most as it is new and the novelty factor hasn't worn off yet.

I can't wait to see what the next gen consoles have to offer....and the prices!

The best system is in the Making right now, Xbox 2. the upgrades goin in that baby are gonna make the gaming experience better, faster and better looking. Largely due to this

I agree.. And I've always liked the graphic for that console the most.. It looks very pleasant.

You're kidding, right? Obviously you don't know about technology to think that this is going to top the PS3's CHIPS! That's right, they have multiple chips that are so powerful, not just a fan can keep them cool. They have to be cooled in, more or less, an anti-heat gel that will keep them from...well...overheating.

The best console??? Nintendo Game Cube! This console is very comfortable becouse the controller is very light (It is the exact opposite of PS2- the controller of PS2 is too heavy). The games on NGC are more elaborate and the graphic is more clear. When I saw a graphic of RE4 on PS2 and NGC I was wondering, why the different was so big. I respect all the fans of PS2- please don't be angry I AM A MANIAC OF GAMECUBE!

well the best console to modified and hack is the xbox.....I was running linux on my xbox and it was basically my computer before i got my laptop. there is some many things you can do to it, you can upgrade you hardrive to allow you to back up your games into the hardrve, you can save movies, installed emulators, and much more.

You can if you modded, i customize my xbox to be the lenght and width of the mother board which is basically the size of a small pc motherboard and i reduced the height greatly since i took the dvd drive off because i don't needed since all my xbox are back up ot the hardrive.
