Here's something I'm working on right now, and I wanted to know if any of you have any advice for it so far. I've seen some good artwork up here so I decided to join, since I come here regularly anyway.

I'm scared to start the hair because I suck with hair, and I don't want to mess it up.. lol

The scan looks a lot grainier then it actually is..

That is a really really good drawing - the shading is amazing!!! Keep going as I'm sure the hair will turn out great like the rest of it.

Hi Kellyandrea. That is a lovely drawing so far. Try not to think about how to draw the hair, just draw what you see.

The drawing looks very life-like. It looks really good! There's something with the nose, in the left site.. I don't know if it looks that way on the real photo. Still it's a very good drawing, looking forward to see the result.

About the left side of the nose, is it that is looks smaller, or needs some more shading? I've been looking at this drawing for so long, I'm losing my mind. lol

View it upside down or in a mirror. A different perspective certainly helps

wow, it looks almost like a picture.

You should increase the dpi when you're scanning.

I'm not sure how to change the dpi but I'll take a look..

I'm working on the drawing right now and just finishing up the hair, so I should have the finished piece up in a little bit..

Feels nice to be all done a portrait. I really like this one, I think it's one of my best =)

I just previewed it, and I'm going to change the shading on the left eye, so it doesn't look like she got punched, so ignore that please. lol
