My favorite graphite pencils are Staedtler Mars Lumograph. I've been using them for over 30 years and love them.

I also have some pencil extenders to use when the pencils get short. No sense wasting any of the pencil.

Have Fun,
Jeff

Cretacolour have graphite and charcoal powder that are cool to experiment with. They have a Nero pencil that can give you some nice effects.

In one of the local art shops they changed all their good brands to Cretacolour. I wasn't too happy about it to be honest. I do like their soft pastels (they have some great nuances) but they are just not as thick and delicious as Faber Castell's or Derwent's pencil pastels.

Speaking of pencil extenders, I'd really like one too. One that is not too heavy and big as it doesn't work for me when drawing. Any recommendations?

maybe some pencils extenders from Derwent? I haven't tried them yet (I'm looking forward to get a pack for me!) but I've been recommended to use them so I suppose they're good

Looks good to me, not too thick + it's a great design =)
The only one I ever saw here in Denmark was really wide, like it was meant for http://www.biltema.dk/da/Fritid/Leg-...ekridt-10-stk/
(not sure what it's called in English)

Just found the ones you mentioned here:

as I told you, they seem to be very good, I think Derwent is a great brand so despite not having tried the extenders, I'll trust it's a good product plus, you can read a review in the link I've sent you!
