I've been trying to decide what I want for my new type of postcards. I have the option to have them either glossy or matte. Personally I am a big fan of matte when it comes to prints and such. I am just not sure what I should go with, as I'd like to try something new but my current ones are glossy and quite loved.
Do you have a preferred type in general, I'd just like to hear your opinions in this matter as I can't make up my mind. I'm intrigued by the way matte has this soft velvet look but glossy is lovely too in it's own way. My current cards... I know it's hard to tell they are glossy but in real they have a very sparkly shine. ![]() ![]() |

Dear Zindy, when I have had prints done I personally have found that Glossy is best for color prints, and Matt for pencil/BW. I hope this helps.

I like glossy because they make colors "pop" more, and they are less prone to wear and stains.
Have Fun, Jeff

Thanks for expressing your opinions. I still haven't decided completely to be honest. I love the matte satin finish but as you mention Jeff, the glossy is more resistant to stains and such. We'll see what I decide
