Natalie Dormer (Anne Boleyn in The Tudors) WIP

It's still in progress (even though it's almost done) but this is the first Work In Progress I wanted to show you. It is the talented English actress Natalie Dormer who portrayed the unforgettable second wife of king Henry VIII, Anne Boleyn. And yes, the scanner quality is still not doing what it should have been doing.

+ A new Photomanipulation

I think you have the basics that gets you far. For your digi-art. I've seen alot of photomanipulations, but nearly always the same mistake is that there is no shadowplay. Like where are the thrown shadows of the girl? Where does the lightsource come from tells me it's going towards me centered. You could do a cast shadow centered at her feet and a bit of shinelight and darkness around your sitter.

The whole will add alot more convincing to it

Thanks for the advice I will try to do that with this current photomanip I am working on I aqree that the shadows do make it more realistic (just a little bit like drawing right? )

Very cute work with the photomanip so far I agree with Mike, it sometimes get to look unrealistic if the light is not alike on the human/object and the background. On this one I actually think if she was placed between the bridge and tree and mirrored around the light fall would have been very realistic, coming from the right, hitten her hair and arm.
Either way is has a really nice atmosphere.
