thank you very much, Maiii !

I found some time inbetween college stuff and work(a lot of presentations to do and the first exam was written this weak, plus a gymnastics-competition is on its way^^)
so I was able to draw my piece for the contest:

"Paint your world with color"

A4, graphite pencils, charcoal and color pencils

This is my first attempt ever to draw a person with charcoal and I truely ruined it!!! fingerprints all over and it's way to rough.. but I think it's the wrong paper for charcoal^^ anyways, I don't have time to draw another one for Zindy's contest.

As a reference I used myself and the butterfly is made up.

Hope u like it
Love,Esther <3

Really sad about your gradpa :/ I don't have any of grandparents no longer, just many sweet memories of them.
And your gradpa's portrait touched my heart, I see how you loved him, and I think he was very nice person as you I like how you drew his eyes and how shaded his face

The portrait of Maria is marvelous too. Shading, eyes...and very realistic lips. Good job

The last one is sweet too. I think you should not worry about fingerprints, if you're just starting use charcoal, you will get used to it soon. Especially when you draw quite often (not as me D). I love the idea of this drawing: bubbles and blue butterfly.

Good luck, Esthi

What a wonderful sketch of your grandfather and I'm very sorry for your loss. You're braver than I am with charcoal...I tried it a couple times and what a mess lol I like your last sketch...you're very talented
