Default Elvis

I started this one right after the Aniston one.

I had a heck of a time getting the hair how I wanted it in the beginning, but then tried a totally different method and finished it in minutes. lol

Thanks for looking

Thanks all =)

The lashes on the left side are fairly long in the ref photo.

And I always use 9 x 11 paper. It's probably the cheapest paper ever at like 2 bucks CDN per pad. lol

when u say 9 x 11 i assume its inches....which would make the paper A4 size...

have you ever considered moving on to larger paper?

I can actually have a quite larger pad ( 14 x 17 ) and I've started two portraits in it that still remain incomplete. (The two drawings are Marilyn Monroe and Matthew Perry) And I started those before I changed shading techniques so I got bored with those drawings.

But my large pad is still full, and I think I should do more portraits in it..

I think it would be interesting to see how you would fair on larger paper....a lot of artist dont like changeing sizes of their paper, cause they feel safe using one size only...

Its a lovely drawing of Elvis. The only thing I can see is that the nose is possibly a little too long. As Nina says, try a bigger paper size
