Been crying the whole night because of family problems. I'm praying to feel better, it seems this year is gonna be tougher than I thought.

Sorry to hear that Carla.. I hope you will feel better soon. Family issues can be very hard to deal with as they always are close to you and it hurts more.

On a different note I can't believe 18 days have passed of the new year already. I have been very productive and started training regularly again. (And no not because of a new years resolution )
I now need to finish 2 illustraitons for a book about Witches in different cultures and 1 drawing for a childrens book. I feel the deadline coming fast now.

How has your year been so far?

It feels so much like spring to me, a few birds are singing, it's getting lighter outside, the sun is often out... and I just this feeling inside me that things will great.

I'm happy things are looking up for you Zindy! And how exciting about the illustration for a book about witches! Are you allowed to show us the work or do you have to wait until it is published?

I don't feel so optimistic today. I miss my boyfriend and I just feel like I'm behind in everything. I feel like I have so many things to do and I don't have the time to do them.

We're having breakfast for dinner though, and that will be nice.

Today an artist came to my artschool to talk about her work. I was very much looking forward to meet her because I admire her artwork, she's just awesome!
After the lecture she strolled through our studio and had a look at our thiesisartprojects. I was realy excited when she came to my table, I wanted to ask her questions about her work but I never got around to do it because after one glance on my paintings she said: "It's a shame you chose humans as your topic because obviously you aren't any good at it." After that I somehow forgot what it was that I wanted to ask her...

And how was your day?

Genie, for my part I've been incredible busy. Been blessed with some amazing but demanding projects for great clients so my time here is limited.
I hope we can get some life back into the forum soon, sure need it.

Jeanine, that is so mean, seriously. That's so bad. Who is she anyway?
You are obviously good at drawing people so please do continue and don't listen to that girl.

Long live the dogmatism.....partyline! THAT what freedom of art is all about! You have to draw something blurry with kids colors and call it art. This is exactly the reason I didn't go to artschools. Do what you want and do it with passion; you'll get far eventually. Don't let this bring you down. It is all a big matter of name and fukking subjective taste anyway!
