Thank you everyone. Moldova, yes the drain is missing. Thats what I need to add to the drawing, as I said it wasn't quite finished. I've just been so busy I just haven't gotten around to finish it yet. Can someone please look at my photography thread and suggest to me which photograph I should draw next

Wow your fountain drawing is wonderful! Very inspiring. I like how you captured the motion of it. And nice detail in the spout part of the fountain.

Thank you very mcuh! I want to post more up, I have a set of rings I took photographs of that I want to do as well!

Maria, I do wanted to do the cat but unfortunately I am not able to use my printer at the moment and for that kind of detail I really want to print it out! I photographed my wedding rings and a spider which I think I can do from the computer screen. I'll probably work on the rings first.....
(I used a point and shoot for these, the spider was only about half the size of a grain of rice LOL) I've actually been learning about the rule of thirds and how to focus. It's not quite an SLR obviously, but you can actually do a lot with a P&S camera (Thankfully I'm getting a DSLR for xmas )! So now that I'm getting more of what makes a "good photo" I'm having a lot of fun with photography!

I haven't been on here much or drawing for that matter! My life is a bit crazy at the moment. I've got school, been going out of town, preping for the holidays, have a stray kitten that needs some special care, car broke down TWICE, been sick, and still cleaning up after my husband lol just crazy lol.

For the spider does any have any good techniques for the web? Something to thin will be a challenge.

Finally a new drawing! I've been sooo busy with everything I finally got around to doing a few drawing this weekend.

The weekend I photographed a bee, and I got some nice feedback on it so I decided to draw it.

The drawing

The photograph (photograph isn't as tightly cropped, I cropped for you all to see closer detail)

This bee and others bees are on my photography thread.

That's nice, especially for such a quick drawing. Have you considered blending your graphite drawings with ear buds or Kleenex. I think it would work well for you to get a smoother shading in some areas. I found it really nice when I started using Kleenex cause you can "remove" the surface of the paper more if you work on grainy paper.
