so for those of you who will read, here's what this is about. i just wanted to start a post based on Dove's Campaign for Real Beauty and how WONDERFUL i think it is.. for those of you who don't know about this, dove is a cosmetics company that makes soaps, skin care products, etc. It has a campaign that i find the best thing that any large company has ever done, it's mission is to finally represent REAL woman and girls, showing that they are truly beautiful. It is comprised of a series of adertisements that show this, from television commercials to bilboards that try to represent true beauty in real people.This campaign is mostly directed at women, but also applies to any mean who can relate.

good job, dove- for helping our society realize that the "beauty" represented by the media around us is not true beauty, and that we really are all beautiful as normal looking people even if we dont look like the girl off the cover of a magazine- just as beautiful as the models behind the photographs.

AHH THIS MAKES ME SO HAPPY! maybe our society still has some hope, after all!
