whats the first thing u draw?

I start sketching in very rough lines, like when I do a portrait I start drawing a big oval (= face), a horizontal line for the eyebrows, 2 circles are the eyes, the nose is a vertical line....

Then I start drawing the lines properly

then I start shading, mostly I start with the eyes

eyes for me as well...I don't even know why...
And after that, the outlines and hair.

1st i make the lines to define the size of the head/ face (for portraits) then i draw very roughly where ill put the eyes then nose then mouth, then i start shading the eyes and so on

I usually start off with the outline of the chin.. or the nose.

i normally start with the right eye then work my way down to the nose whilst shadin as i go then i work my way down to the lips, then i shade the cheeks then i put in the left eye, i then draw the chin, neck and hair and then do any extra shadin
