Get the Picture

There used to be an on-line game called Get the Picture on the old Bezerk.com website. In it, they present a photo (a cute animal scene, some "blooper" or calamity photo, an unusual aerial shot, etc.) and you have to make a funny caption for the photo. The captions are collected, without identifying the writers, and people vote for their favorite caption. The one with the most votes is the winner.

For example, if the photo is some young women sitting on a brick wall, my winning caption would be, "All in all, you're just a bunch of chicks on the WALL." [a parody of the well-known Pink Floyd song.]

Or if the photo is one of two or three supertankers connected by a network of piers, my winning caption was, "Remember where we parked!" [since it is not possible to lose sight of something so big!]

This game, I suppose, can be played manually. Why not try it? Someone should post an unusual photo, and the rest make amusing comments about it. Forget about voting, it's just for laughs. Then when we've had our fun, post another photo.
