Face-Eyes

Hey, im new here..and i like drawing jessica alba and other female celebrities... But i have an issue that stops me from doing my best...

The Eyes...
and
The Face...

When im finished with my drawing it doesent look like the person i tried to draw because of the eyse and the shape of the face. Is there any tutorial that helps with the eys being proportionate to the face?

Also...on the eyes, when i mess up over and over and over on the little peice of skin right above the eyes.. it gets darker and darker until it looks like a shadow..how can i get rid of that...

So all im asking is if anyone can help me on drawing eyes(not the pupils but the outline) and drawing the face.

with the face... i tend to try and get a basic outline the right shape and angle but reeeealy light.... then i'll start with the features and often correct the face shape a lil allong the way

as for eyes... again get a basic outline keep it light... draw in the outlines of the iris and pupils an check to see if it fits and looks right.... if you have the basics of the nose done that also helps.... i tend to do outlines in this order.... face, eyes, nose, mouth, hair then the shading in this order nose, mouth, basic overall face shading, eyes, detailed face shading, then working on hair....

i find by leaving the eyes as the last feature you work into you can keep checking to see if they look right with everything so you dont end up with something difficult to erase .. i learnt that the hard way... on a drawing ... with BLACK eyeshadow.... gawwwd that sucked lol...

cafan is right, do a basic outline of the face but very light.
