Interracial Love???

This topic I hope sparks an emotion in those who read this. Question: Have you ever dated anyone outside of your own race and and if you hadn't, would you?

I'm considered an African American here in the US, even though my father is Caribean from Haiti and my mother is European from France. My fiance is from Santiago Chile, and I'm from Miami, we see nothing wrong with it at all. But ever since we've been together, we see how people look at us & we laugh at those who look at us sideways.

So I ask the "?" again, have anyone ever dated outside of their race and if you hadn't, would you, & why???

I never have, but there would be no reason why I wouldn't...skin is just a color, I wouldnt care about that, as long as their a good person, I hate when people stare at people in interracial relationships, its like a gay couple, they just need to mind their own business...if u like eachother or are in love, thats all that should matter, but of course the world will never see it that way, because its so wrong, we shouldnt have to sacrifice our happiness because it makes some people feel uncomfortable and they're close minded

i never have either, even though i have kissed an indian boy when i was in india. but yeah, i don't see any reason not to, it' just that there were mostly french kids in my classes and things. i have a french friend who only wants to go out with black boys (i'm sorry, i never know if "black" is a racist way of speaking or not...i don't mean it in a racist way!!)..well it's true that they're gorgeous! (just look at will smith!)

yeah i am south east asian (bengali..counrty next to india) and my sister is dating a white guy and they are happy together i never seen her so happy before in my life so i guess what ever floats your boat and i think mixed babies are soo cute

Racism sucks... i once had a black girlfriend. I dont understand racism either... I guess some people doesnt have better things to think about.

Well unlike most of you i have dated a women of another race. Jasmine Walker was her name. This was back when i was in highschool and you can't imagine the looks we both got walking down the halways hand in hand. I was a goofy white guy and she was a gorgeous black girl. So naturally i got harrased by all of my friends, claiming i had "Jungle Fever". Teachers for the most part didn't seem to mind or even notice except for the teachers in the classes we happened to have together. We got along very well, and had some great times.

I must admit that when either of us visited the other at their house, it did feel akward. Our families seemed to be not very supportive, as if this shouldn't be happening. The point is that relations ships like that can work if the two people in the relationship can ignore the outside infuences and concentrate on the actual relationship, then eevrything can work out just snazz-tasticly.

thats discusting. it makes me so mad when people judge others by who they fall in love with. I mean, so what if they are gay, or are white with a black 'spouse', or black with a mexican 'spouse' or whatever. That's their buisness, not anyone else's. I mostly agree with A.S.

I never have, but that doesn't mean to say I wouldn't. I don't think it makes a difference at all! If you're in love and having fun then it's all good!
I heard about a conversation that my friends step-dad was having.. He was saying how he thought it was so wrong, that people should "stick to their own race".. it disgusted me completely how anyone could be so shallow. also, my friend tried to argue by saying "but what if you fell deeply in love with a black woman?" he just said that he would have to stop himself!
