The best thing to do is post all of your work in one thread. All you have to do is edit the subject in your first post to let people know you have something new. Hello, I just found Zindy's website few days ago, My Name is Elias, im 27, Im a programmer who loves to make drawings, and play videogames. My Favorite videogames are FFVII, IX, X, X-2, Silent Hill 1-4 (Currently playing SH4), Space channel 5 (parts 1 and 2)... Looks good!! Not that much details and not that sharp but the proportions fits perfectly!
Depending on how you want your drawings to look, the only thing that matters for you I think would be the time. If you put more time on that drawing you can reach a stunning and very sharp and detailed ressult.

I hate when i finish a drawing and i realize i were drawing it
looking at it sideways, then i tilt the drawing to the correct position
and i notice a small difference!!

Arggg... this one seems slightly wrong on the proportions... i will see what i can do... i really liked it when i was doing it... i will be careful next time.

Thanx Zindy, Here is another one, I made Chin a little out of proportions on this one, but im getting better, it has been 9 years since i was drawing, and now i started with Katie, then Jodie and now Catherine Zeta jones. Im an starting to enjoy it again, and i am gaining experience quite fast too. I used to make several attempts before the good one, now i do it at the first attempt. :)

Its night time and my camera's flash messes the picture, here is a side view wich does not reflects flash:

I just added the drawing i just finished, i think it could have turned out better, but i choosed a darn new type of paper that a single touch made it greasy and the pencil was hard to shade after touched. i will discard all thew rest of this paper, i didnt liked it. i had ahard time with this one because the shading was very hard.

Next time i will use other paper.

When i saw "titanic" i got something weird and i went to parks to make portraits for the people, i gained experience there, i draw like 3000 people back then, but they were sucky drawings because of the time. I used to make drawings like in 20-25 minutes, so they were sketchy. Then my skin started to complain because of the grass... and i had to quit. about 8 or years (i dont quite remember, but it was after titanic) have passed since then, and now i gave it a try with Katie holmes, and i decided to go further, im now drawing more detailed drawings, so, this is also new for me, im like "realizing" i can draw better. however i have weak points... hair is not my best part, because i draw like in a rush and when i like the eyes and all the face details, i end up messing the hair.

Oh by the way, eyes nose and mouth are ready, seems like this will be a quick draw after all... but is detailed, thats what i like about it. ok... since im doing it right now... im going back to the table... i hope internet does not kicks me out or i will have to update it tomorrow.

I just drew rifty. I drew this one just like i used to draw people at the parks. i delayed 14 minutes. I Just used 2h and 6b pencils. The cool part was that rifty watched all the action in my web cam... exept for when she had to go to pee... Just kidding!! :D

Hello guys, i would like to propose a contest for advanced, intermadiate and begginer artists, wich could have several categories, Including:

Color picture drawing:
A common picture (Same for all) to be drawn in color. The picture would be selected by the group. Same rules for all, all should use colored pencils and similar paper.

Black and white drawing:
A common picture (Same for all) to be drawn in black and white. The picture would be selected by the group. Same rules for all, specifical type of pencils to be used.

Original picture drawing:
A drawing of an original picture taken and selected personally. Can be anything, an object or a person or even a landscape.

Imagination drawing:
A drawing taken out of your imagination, no references used. It can be anything, the only rule is that it needs to come out of your imagination, nowhere else. Same rule for all, no colored pencils and similar paper tipe for all.

The judges would be selected from the more advanced artists in this forum, and they would have to judge all aspects of the drawing, including:

Detail, Contrast, Clarity, Level of dificulty and Artistic methods.

Extra points for presenting the drawing:

Clean, Well Scanned, and in good contition in general. Drawn with no grids.

Extra rules:

Judges may participate as well, but they cant vote or qualify themselves. Votes would be presented to all public.

The entries must be drawings made specifically drawn for this contest and cannot be previously drawn pictures.

The contest would have a limited time allowance (yet to be decided). Any entries submitted after the deadline would be disqualified.

Yes, Grids are allowed, but they would not earn extra points.

The minimal size of the drawing is A4, and there is no maximum size, But needs to be in paper.

Emmy, I agree that we should have another game/contest. There are still people who haven't finished their pictures from the last game though. I do have a couple issues with this contest you talk of though :). First, who decides who is advanced, intermediate, and beginner. No need for that! remember that begginer and intermediate can poarticipate in any category, BUT... advanced cannot participate in begginer or intermediate... nor intermediate in begginer... So, no feeling hurt in any way. :)

Ok here is a WIP... so far i drew only the lines, but i think its already recognizable. I made the outline in about 15 minutes... Proportions in the picture are not perfect because the paper was "acting funny" its a very big and thick paper type, but it worths it because i want it to last long. I cant continue now i will finish it tomorrow. See if you can guess who is she!!

I Did the best i could do with this one, but the reference picture was VERY small.i had to draw hair from my imagination. Very beautiful girl huh? maybe one of the most beautiful in the world. She is my friend and very fun person to talk with. Very nice person, amazing. However, i will try again this drawing, maybe with a bigger Ref pic. i think like 150x90" (i already have the paper!!).

luna... i was hesitating to participate, some of the negative comments
about the contest being too complecated and hard were making the
whole thing less fun for me. I expected everyone had fun with it, that
was the main purpose...

Anyway after a while i realized it would not make sense if im doing the

and maybe my color drawing entry will be "funny" but what the heck im
in anyway. I wont give up without trying. :)

that my drawings are lousy... and in comparison, they are, at least the

Emmy there's nothing wrong with your drawings, i don't think you should go down the grid drawing road, your just fine freehand.
i'm not saying this is the case for everyone, but i tried a grid once and it took all the fun and suspence out of it, so i just started over.
and i'm not saying drawing with a grid is cheating or anything but i do think drawing freehand is a talent and i wouldn't like to see you waste it just to keep up with the best, because it's not about being the best :wink:
