thank you minta11! and no problem--the way i do it is with a ruler...it just depends on how you want to do it. . .i draw off the computer screen so ruler works best with me. maybe a grid if it's a really hard pic? you gotta test out different ways and find what suits you! =]

*slaps parents for giving their daugther such a weird name*
It's Hebrew for 'dewdrop'. I'm jewish (i don't believe in God or something like that and we don't do all the traditions like.. oh we almost don't do anything with it XD Sometimes we celebrate Rosj Hasjana (jewish new year) and with Jom Kippoer we go to a beautiful synagogue in another city and every year we celebrate chanukah... that's all XD), and when i was little my grandmother lived in Israel. So i have been many times in Israel, in the vacantions, to visit my granny. A lot of ppl in Israel have the name 'Tal' (or 'Talli', ppl called me 'Talli' when i was younger.. =P It means 'My dewdrop') and my mother visited Israel many times before i was born =P So she knew the name already, and she liked it, and my dad too. And.. So they give it to me XD That's the story how i got this name XD
But it sounds like tall ;_; I'm tall XD (i'm 1.75 m.. is that tall? XD)
WOW.. I'm weird XD You just asked me to tell my name.. And then i make such a long message about it :roll: Did you survided it? x']

(btw, if you WANT to, i can write also a long story about my second name and my familyname and and..>=D)

yesss, Tal! it is Dr. Addison Forbes Montgomery-Shepherd (well, not Shepherd anymore but still x]) she's most definately my favorite character in Grey's Anatomy so i'm pretty sure my love for GA and her has channelled into this drawing and that's why it's so good--seriously, i don't usually draw this good XD
oh and i'm trying circulism and blending with tissue which looks soo good!
anywho, enough of me ranting--

i know i said big update but the GA episode yesterday was so bad and Addison was SO STUPID that i didn't work on it yesterday for fear of ruining her face b/c i was so mad XD

small update on Addison--ughh, i said i'd be done days ago but it's taking longer than i thought!:

and heres a new one i did for my class-- 3/4 selfportrait. . .its pretty gigantic (about 60cm x 45cm) and larger than anything i've done before. i think it somewhat looks like me? but i mean, i did this only by looking at the mirror so no pic:

I really like your self portrait. I tried to draw myself while looking in the mirror a little while ago, and found it very difficult.
The jewellery on the addison drawing looks incredible! :D

Wow!! Absolutely amazing. She is very recognisable, especially her eyes. I like the detail in her hair, looks very realistic. Also, the necklace is really well drawn :D

HADIEH!!!!!!! My god girl!! your skill level jus shot way up!!!!!!!! this is awesome, your shading has suddenly become mega smooth and the details in the necklace, you even managed to get the texture of her silk shirt spot on!!! and the highlights in the hair too, not to mention the likeness. as i said earlier, you gotta keep drawing these characters because you passion for the program shines through!!!!

yeah i really struggled with the mouth but at this point i dont care because i erased it 2483290 times and i like it now...but overall after looking at it awhile after its done, im not as happy with it...i dunno, maybe i'm crazii but i actually really don't like the outcome :(

i dunno, i'm not as satisfied as i should be with this one i guess. . .i don't think i captured her eyes--theres just something special in the pic and its not there in the drawing. and the lips are still not right. o well, next time it will be better. i'm definately drawing Kate Walsh again b/c i didn't do her justice here at all!!

Yeah I agree, I like it like that too: I have tons of drawings with parts a bit off that I like this way (this is the case of my self-portrait or of the Traci Lords portrait for example)!

Pomegranate looks very delicious and the combination of colors are very nice and for the Christina, i see something on her right part of the hair, but that's awesome for just 2 hours.

Now I can see it :) . Nice drawing, but I think your fruit and Addison is better. Maybe you should shade up the right eye abit and edge the left eye in the upper area. The nose is proportional, but I sense you have a bit problem with left vieuw perspective on it, cause it goes gradually to the right as it was more angled. Your shade-intensity's however are good! :)

I have no idea how I've missed your new drawings. They both look great and I agree with everyone that you work really fast and still manage to do a good job. I also think that you are improving really fast and I hope I'll see more from you soon :)
