I made a new work... a draw from life. It's an old ornament (porcelain/wood)... a great-grandmother's gift. I only used a 2b and my new sketchbook... no eraser. Time... 30 minutes (2 for the draw and 28 for shadows). It's very challenging because I usually use photo reference... ehehe this time I tried something new :)

I needed to teste it.. so I made two draws with cp.

The portrait is not perfect (I think that the background isn't so good) but I'm happy about the hair.. the photo ref is not clear, I had invented it.

really amazing silvana!!i especially love the face couldn`t say 100% alexis but it`s beautifull and i kinda don`t like the shadingon the arms...of course i`m not an expert on shading so i just say my opinion but it`s a wonderfull drawing!

I agree with Sena on the shading, it's a bit too blue I think...but I can definitely recognize her :) I love the hand holding the flower and her eye, very nicely done! Also the lips and hair look nice ;)

the shadows are difficult to draw cuz there is a lot of contrast... black shadows and pale skin.

This time I drew Katie Holmes, I hope she's still recognizable. The face is very very small.. 6 x 7 cm :p .
I had an hard time with the skin's color, I used the eraser a lot :( .
I'm not too happy about this drawing but it's done so I can't do anything about it. :(

When I saw this drawing I was thinking it had a similarity to Katie but I see what you mean with it not looking completely like her. When you draw that small it’s hard to get the likeness completely, as only a little dot can change the appearance completely.
I like the drawing though and I think you did well with the skin colours and the hair is really nice.
Did she really have blue eyes on the reference or did you just add it?
One thing that is confusing my eye is the way the drawing is cropped, I think it’s too much grey to the left, steals something in the picture I think. I think I would have cropped it less grey and more in the background instead to give it another perspective. Anyway, guess that is just a choice and a matter of liking :)

I finished the Al Pacino's portrait :)
pencils: 6h, 4h, h and 4b.

I had a lot of problems with this draw.. mostly due to high contrast of the photo ref (for ex the neck is too black).

Good morning :)
This is a "fast" drawing.. I made it in an hour. The subject is a friend of mine and the photo ref isn't perfect.. too dark, not much contrast.. ecc ecc.
Well, I draw my last "naked man" 4 or 5 years ago.. and i rarely use ink. I'm not good at it.. i know.. but I had fun :D

Wow, that's so pretty. I like how the rose is the only thing in colour. It makes it more interesting, and stands out. The shading is also really well done, especially where the shadow of the rose is. The hand looks very good too. :D

Well, I think your drawings speak to me. I think your style really speaks freedom and I think you've got a good imagination and a good eye for unique poses. You have that thing like that you're sitting in a park in a very big city, drawing, and when people passes by, they really are pulled to your drawings, and stand still for a moment to admire how you construct your drawings. Very natural style indeed :D ;)
