I like especially when people see through my artwork and try to understand the deepest meaning of it...and not only judge the technical quality of the work!

@ Julieta: Probably you like the floor and the view further 'cause you cannot see the particular shape of the rose...like in the "k's soul" one!?
About the Rose: (because, for your information, I did liked the rose too, actually the whole painting I just thought I'd comment the view and floor)
And yes, you are totally right, I don't see that <<particular shape>>. It's not obvious, even spending more time in observating.
oh! And! you are veery Welcome eh. pffff http://www.geocities.com/mjgirl_2/sarcastique_pissed.jpg

Thanks guys!

I was thinking about how to represent the sensation of a caress.
I imagined that a caress it's like a wave spreading on the body surface!
A wave of passion and sweetness that can melt the frozen body (personality)...so the wave (like the wave created by a duck in a lake), is spreading on her body made of water where there are waves and of ice elsewhere. In fact you would see the landscape deformed by the water body like when you look through an empty glass of water!

The peculiar conformation of clouds it's an allegorical representation of the behaviour (both outer and inner) of the girl (on the left) and of the boy (on the right) in this troubled and confused relation...

I'm not really satisfied by the water-glass fx on the body...
I studied optical fx in university and I made a raytracing manually but the fx turns out a bit odd...

Hi guys!

I need some constructive criticism on my new wip!

I'm working on a new oil on canvas...
It represents a girl transformed in water when she is taking a shower...and a part of her water body is blowing away.
There are some holes in the wall like in a house after a war.

The title will be "The Unbearable Lightness of Being" like the famous book of Kundera.

Lea_angel

i was wondering what happened to the first one, i remember you posted a wip ages ago! its turned out very well indeed, i love the idea, you have a very active imagination! it took me a while to understand the second one but when i did i thought it was really good, the fact it take a while to see adds to it i think!!! when you first look it just seems like a simple shape but when you look closer you can see two people kissing! i really like

RedJ3k

Thanks a lot! I'm glad you like my style!
I'm sorry about my lack of intervention in the forum...I'm very very busy with Physics university exams...

Thanks Zindy, also for the moderation!;)

The new painting, "The Unbearable Lightness of Being" is a metaforical representation of the human condition. In particular it was suggested to me by the book with the same name of Milan Kundera. But I was thinking that the The Unbearable lightness of being isn't like an heavy stone or something on our shoulders. Our own nature is volatile, our emotion, our feeling, our body...like water, impalpable, light, insubstantial...so unbearable! Unbearable like a war. Everything collapse in this painting, her body, the rapresentation of her concept of herself as a human being in the incoherent world. The mismatch between her feeling, her thoughts...and her body, and the reality all around her. The delusion when her (when everyone in our life, me in this particular case, this is the reason why I made this painting) realize suddenly this mismatch. So she is turning into water...she's splashing down in the air.
The last part of her real body, a little part of her face, her eye...is wathing this transformation terrified.

wow!! just looked at your first page and do you know i can see influences from so many different placed, some remind me of salvador dali, some michaelangalo, some picasso, some from christian art, some of your woman portraits remind me of the famous venus painting, you really do have a traditional style, but then sometimes your style is very modern, i love the one of the naked woman with the gorgeous figure holding her arm up against her breast. Its really neat and i really hope you'll keep us updated on your diverse talents!

I just try to use photoreference to know if I'm able to do it too...
But I don't like to copy photos...

The coloured one I already have seen it a couple of times. Your new "photo-copying" drawing as you say looks great. But if you don't like it, at least see it as a training to improve your fantasy skills. This is also a big reason for me to "copy" references and finally, draw fantasy on my own, while still holding that photo-style. ;)

The Viola painting is so pretty, I really like the style of it. Your new pencil work is also very pretty, her eyes very dragging and beautiful.

Looks you have been inspired by M.C. Escher. An artist who lived in the early 1900 years. I adore his artwork and you did an fantastic job to achieve near that. I love impossible drawings.

I love Metamorphosis particularly. It is soooo ingenious! You showed your rare kind of imagination again with this drawing. I also have a very strong imagination, but for now, I'm staying restricted to photo like drawings to train it, to learn transformation perspectives. Now I do a drawing with a bit perspective transformation and ultimatly: free-fantasy drawings, mixing reality through surrealism. I've got TONS of ideas I wanna draw on paper! ;)
