HI

I'm a 26 year old girl from Sweden that have studies Fine art in England and I am a BIG fan of Zindy's work. I love to do portraits as well. So here is my newest drawings if someone is interested :) I had them spread out before on diferent topics and in Zindys forum but i think that I get more People to see them here and make som coments. The drawings are in no special order and are mixed together with quicker sketches as well. But I just wanted to put them all together so that you can get a wider picture of my portraits......Se ya around :)

Yes i jused the same paper and it was tp grainy...I think I need a smoother one. I wrote down your suggestions on paper but havn't come around to a shop that has it.

But Angelina Jolie is quite deformed, I concentrated to much to get the colours right and it still did not work out as I planed...well here they are.

Just wanted to show you some of my old fantasy stuff. The first one is a scene from my sissters story she is writing obout the time in middle earth before The lord of the Rings.....just playing around really.

The other one is just a monster we may use when we are playing D&D "role playing". I just satt and fooled around. But I'm guite happy with it. My fantasy usually sucks but this time I captured my Idea quite well on the paper. :?

Here is my newest drawing. Still life drawings of glass of water is perfect to draw for my project I started at Uni now. I'm doing a project about reflections....so...I will do a lot of different ones, this is my first and it just took 2 hours so. I know it is far from as good as Golfiscools drawing but I'm quite happy with it. I have started with a more complicated one. See if I manage to finish it today.

What kind of surface was the glass on? Did you put it on a mirror? I think it looks good especially for only 2 hours. In my opinion you should get some smoother paper. That paper looks pretty grainy to me. If you are doing a bunch of studies on reflection that would be my advice.

Thank you for your advise. I thought the paper were quite smoth but I bought one today that was even smoother.
Yes I am studying at Winchester school of art. I'm doing a Fine art course, and I really enjoy it.

I did not have the glass on a mirror, I just folded a white paper so I got the Ground and the background, and then a spottlight on the glass. The glass have really thick base as it is a shot glass.

Oh!! I see it now..I didn't realize how thick the base was. I thought you were trying to draw the reflection of the glass on a shiny surface or a mirror at first. It's way better now that I know that!!

It is not big a difference from drawing from a photograph. I just love life drawing though. We do that a lot at Uni now and I feel that it really helps when I'm going to draw from photographs. You really learn to see the space between everything. But when you are doing drawings you just have the face and not things around it. Well I really enjoy it. :D

Thanks..yeah, it took around two hours. but this time I worked with a soft graphite pencil. I am usually to shy and need to go back to many times to the same place to make it darker. That's why it usually takes so long time.

I almost only work with soft pencils. The baby drawing is one of the first where I've used alot of H-F-HB in.. Normally I'm just working with 2B till 9B. It really helps me to get the drawing to the dark tones that I have to get. Cause I was very afraid to darken my drawings up :P

No she's not an actress. She is role playing on internet and it is hard for her to find pictures that capture her characters personality. The looks she can find but then they hardly have any clothes on :wink: She was happy with this one.
Actually I did not use another paper but I used really hard pencils on the eccessories, eyes and skin and that makes it a lot smother. I used as hard as 9H sometime. :D

whoa, thats brilliant! the shadingson the building is great, theres a man in town and he sits infront of buiolding becuase where i live, we are famouse for our building, the stone that is found here is shipped around the world, was used in Lord of the rings in the Bright White Riverndale place, thats our stone ;) Glamourous, theres a guy and he does stuff like that and gets alot of money, i think you shouldgive it ago

Yes it is....but it is fun becouse you can do it more detailed.

Thank you. I use a wide range of pencils:9H, 4H, 2H, HB, 3B, 6B and I will probably do some areas darker with 9B.

Enola, she turned out beautifully, it's really an amazing drawing.
One thing that would make it even better would be if you made the darker areas under her hair just a little more black, like in the corners of her mouth. The likeness is really amazing, as I already mentioned her nose is just perfect and the eyes looks so shiny. More!:D

It took me, :roll: god I don't know :? , around 10 hours maby.....I thought it whould take even longer couse of its size but 10 hours is quite enouch as it is. I still am to shy with my marks....that's why I need to go back all the time to make it darker.

About the avatar. To start with, you are aloud to have maximum 80 pxl and when I switched to artist I was alowed to have 130. I changed the pics to gif. that makes them take less space as well I think....i just played around with different sizes till I found one that was quite big but not over 130 pxl.
