Questions About Forum Use

It seems to be preferred that people NOT start a new topic in the Artist Help for every new drawing they do, but keep it under one topic thread under their name. Wow, that makes for 20-page threads or more. Why hasn't this been mentioned in the Forum Guidelines? Is it only a suggestion?

And how do I change the title of my thread, for example to draw attention to a new drawing on page so-and-so of the thread? I see lots of people doing that but there seems to be no way of doing that for mine. Do you just re-edit the first message and change the title?

For some reason, in the Movies and Books forum, I was not given the option of re-editing a message.

I personally wouldn't mind if a new topic was started after you get a _lot_ of pages on your old one. However how does Zindy and the rest of you feel about this?

Whatever we figure out, I'll add it to the guidelines.

i always preferred to see everyone's work in one forum...so u can look back at their old stuff....and compare....ya know?! see how much they've changed and what not :lol: :D

true, I like that, but I'd also like to add that everyone should add the page of the new work in the title, it makes it so much easier to jump to. A few of us do that, and I thouhg tit was very easy. :)

true i've never done that...but not many ppl look at mine anyway so i didn't think about it..... :lol: i do that from now on then :wink:

This is good. There doesn't seem to be any cutoff time after which editing an old message becomes impossible. Some forums are not that way. But here, it is.

Soooo, if I ever get to the point where I put up multiple pages of drawings (hard to imagine for a newbie!) then I'll re-edit the first message and mention the latest page-number in the title.
