actually i really loved watching it all in 5 days--i miss it XD
i can watch movies/t.v. shows for HOURS at a time--like for LOST, the 3rd day, i watched 21 episodes in one day (15 hrs straight) XD

wow pink hair! I would never ever dare that!! Will you post a photo? Yes the weather is crazy. Everybody warned us here that it will be very warm and we should make plans for the beach. And what happens? Thunderstorms (the whole week already, used to love it but now it drives me crazy ;)) and bloody rain. Though this doesn't sounds so bad if i look at your situation, Robin. How warm is it on the other side of the ocean?

Oh wow pink hair that must look interesting :) I remember I just dyed my hair one day before the photos for the highschool album were taken and I did it red...but I didn't used the one I normally did and it ended up sooooo red... the room where we took the photos had red carpet and red blinds...Imagine how I looked like lol...they had to tone down the photos so my hair wouldn't be that red...even after editing it still looked too red... On and one time I ended up with it really really orange.... Well at least I learned red hair is really hard to achieve :P

The weather has been crazy in Canada too... one day is really hot and the next day thunderstorms :(

heh I think half the people who dye their hair red, always ends up another color! I wanted to put red in my hair one time, and bleached strands of my hair first...and put the red over it, but it ended up orange and yellow. Was interesting though :p

Lol yeah it's some cool movie huh??;) Ive seen the second part as well, that one isn't as great as the first one..First time i saw it i was like, what the ****..??:o What's the purpose of killing each other, but then i heard there could only be one winner on that island lol ^^ I was glad that boy and his girlfriend were the only ones left..and that they stayed together :D

But my day/night in Amsterdam was amazingg!!:D I had a wonderfull time, the weather was great and the people that were there came from all over the world lol:mrgreen: I took many photo's of the parade (like 80 or somethin) and some others. When i was standing and watching the parade, i heard some american girls talkin behind my back..And when i looked behind me, i immediately fell in love with this one american beauty:oops:

She was soo pretty, she looked a lot like this actress Jordana Brewster.

And u know..i took two snapshots of her while she wasn't looking lol ^^
So the photo's look a bit weird haha...but still nice ;)

So I'll just tell U why I haven't been around here lately ( well ..inthe past 5 moths i think ) =))...to tell u the truth I waas taken by local autorities because they thought I am responsible for stealing some old grannies pie from her window ....I was arrested and kept in prison for 3 weeks ....after release ,on the way home ,i was attacked by a couple o hungry bears (damn,theybite really hard) ..oky,so finnaly I've escaped for the bears too (dont know how ,but I've escaped inthe end ) and finally ...when i thought it's all done and i'm safe home ...suddenly I was kidnapped by a UFO and released just yesterday . By the way ...the alines were very frindly ...we drunk some tea, read the papers ,smoke some pot ,wathc tv ,do some yoga ,play tennis ( in they space ship of course ) Oh and their name are Ben ,Toni ,Aragorn and Arnold...their were nice with me all that time ....so that's it ...and now i'm finally here ,safe and happy to be next to U

i agree much with your words, there are people who just post photos and no art, its rather weird! maybe they want compliments easier than drawing and 'wasting' time to get good feedbacks.

And most of the time I think these people already know how "hot" they are but just want other people to tell them also. I know, it just seems like these people are thinking "oh this is an art forum, surely I can get someone to do a drawing for me" :roll: I dont mind drawing something for people I know and family but not someone I've never met, especially when the photo is really crappy. Most of the time I just wanna say "draw it yourself!" Drawing materials cost a lot, I dont think these people realize that.

it is cool, especially meeting them so young...people just always assume since you're that young and in love that it wont last. I always have people ask me how I can be with someone that long from a young age, they think I should experience more with other guys or something :lol: I've just never been that kind of girl. but it is good, especially growing with eachother. :)

Hehe I totally agree....I've heard that so many times. People always asume that relationships started that young won't last and whenever they ask you after a few years if you're still together they look so shocked. At first it bugged me but now I actually don't care. :) It's not their life. But you are right...it's great to grow with eachother :) You know eachother so well and have all those great memories :)

Today... at 6 am, a 12 year old girl in this city got up to go to school.

Her mom gave her cereal, and rushed her to get in the way, otherwise
she would be late.

Last night rained most of the night.

She was close to the school.

Suddenly... a hole appeared in the floor, just below the little girl...
seems like the water was flowing underground... and the ground crumbled in her feet.

The girl screamed and a man tried to help her, he jumped in the hole, but
the grouond was so damped, and the water flowing too hard. There was no
were to hang, and they both were sucked in... God knows where.

Another man tried to jump and help them, as the arms of the girl were still visible,
trying to grab something. But it was too late. They were completely
sucked in few seconds later.

Her mom was crying too loud, many people gathered around. Watching at
the hole... wich still had water flowing underground. People never saw
anything like that here before. It was topic of all news channels.

The girl and the man were found 3 Km away, in the place where the water
was coming out... in a wasteland. They were both dead. They were
drowned in drenage + rain water.

I dont want to think about how sad that must be for her family, and the man's family.

yes this is very weird.. I had a huge discussion with others, who siad it's not that bad to leave your child alone for a short time...i can't believe that they did it but that's just my opinion. I would never leave my child behind, or there has to be a VERY HUGE emergency, but for dinner?! I always said that i found this strange, and there's some evidence against the parents...mmm... of course i can't judge it but i have to say i was not 100% suprised when i heard the news. Robin, I have the same problem. I get a lot of small pictures most of the time, and they are really hard to work from. However, in time you get a bit better at it, cause you have to do that extra each time to get it good. But trust me, I know the frustration, the result is never ever as you wish for cause you are missing that extra detail.

I entrust you get pretty used to it if you have nothing but small pics to draw from..but I was planning to do a commission for someone and this person send me a 100x100 avatar.. and then I'm wondering.. what are they thinking?! But they are demanding me to draw details!
So then I just refused to draw it, not going to finish off my eyes by staring..

100x100px are definitely too small. I think most people don't know what it demands to do a proper drawing. If the pictures I get are too bad I tell them to send a bigger version or perhaps send the paperphoto. Sometimes the result is people not ordering the portrait in the end, but it's hard to do magic with really bad photos.

I'm hooked at this MTV show called Fear, it was aired in the 90's and i just found out about the show on a website lol ^^
So i searched on Youtube and watched almost every episode of it! :D
It's about this group of 5 or 6 randomly picked people, who have to investigate some old place where paranormal activity has been rapported.
So they all go one by one to a part of the building or whatever, and have to excecute these assignments. Man some are pretty freaky haha!
It even scares the *peep* out of me lol

whoa yes that sounds crazy Tulia ;) But there are morning and eveningpeople, so don't pay too much attention to others :) Or are you forced to get up that early, for a job of school or something? I recently saw an amazing product: it's a sort of a lamp which start to spread light in your room like half an hour before you have to get up, and the light goes stronger and stronger very slowly, so you're mind is told to get up but not that harsh. I hope it works: in the summer i always leave one of my curtains open so i wake up by the daylight. but now it's starting to get darker and darker in the mornings...so i miss that. :(

sry i'm ranting... :D well so i know i need to retake some subjects including math next yr ( and not have graduation ). but its good in the sense i can take in art as a subject i haven't have before in my last 2 years. and sry again if i sounded so grumpy! :D :D

Phew.. long time.

I was approached about a job offer last friday by an old college of mine. I'm actually rather happy where I work now. After all, how many placed do you know that serve breakfeast for their employees, have a ping pong table, darts, pool table, table football, PS2, Nintendo Wii and a draft beer dispenser with free beer :)

Still the pay is better and that does tempt me a bit. I'd also be working with some old friends of mine from previous jobs and I wouldn't mind that at all. I'd also get back to Linux and MySQL instead of HP-UX, Solaris and Oracle, which I'd very much like. So far I have agreed to visit them monday so they can show me around and try to convince me to change jobs and it all comes down to how that goes.

The job situation here in Denmark is great right now, especially in IT. You don't even have to apply for jobs, you'll get offers anyway. It's even become common to offer new empoyees sign-on bonuses in the order of 10.000 euro and upwards. Can't say I mind :)

will , I can see from what you say that they didn't bother them self to call you or sms you to say they can't came to you and you who called them and ask about them and if they going to come or not when they should be there .

So , in that case they really don't deserve the time you think about them because they don't know meaning of friends and respect .but if they had a real good reason to not call , or sms or email you , or any other way to communication that they can't came and the only case is forgiven for them behavior is 1. have some body die 2. they are really sick like they are spend night at hospital or some thing .

In the second scenario you need forgive them and reschedule things , but if they call you before it by a time and say sorry we couldn't came might be they are couple of things :

1. They have exam
2. They have other plan
3. They have some thing in them life
4. They are really not that social people but is good to re-try with them many time until they accept and came because at end they would be so shy for refused lot .
5. Might be there parents not accept went friends house which you need respect that and is good to invite them even they wouldn't came .
6. they are only selfish people , who don't want to came your place or with you an any way .

Damnit Damnit Damnit..

Damn guys.. sorry for this but I have to let out my frustration :(
Tonight, while I was at work, my parents took my eldest cat to the vet's because she'd been acting rather strange last days - she always had issues with keeping her balance, even as a small kitty but now she wasn't even able to stand anymore and she also kept shaking her head and her pupil's were all big..
My vet said she'd probably had a seizure or something due to a blood clot or bleeding inside her head, but she knew it'd be useless and torture to my cat to let her live along much longer, so my parents decided to let her pass away. And what bothers me most, is that I haven't had a chance to say goodbye, although too, I'm happy I didn't have to go through the process again, as I had to with my most beloved cat some years ago who had actually been suffering.

And now I'm just feeling so empty.. I don't know different than the beast to be around and to cuddle her, she's been with the family ever since I was 3 or 4 and now it's like loosing an unmissing piece of life.
Hmm maybe people might find it stupid that I'm so incredibly devastated ('it's only a cat, after all':mad: ) but fact remains that I happen to care much, MUCH more for animals than I do for human.. my youngest cat increased that feeling tonight, she hasn't left me alone since I've heard the news, she now lies close to me while I'm writing this and she usually never does that - Their empathy's just amazing.

Ok well.. that's what I wanted to express.. you don't have to read it.. but it relieves me to write it down.

Aw Chantal, sorry to hear about that. I think sometimes you can be closer to animals than humans. Some of them can be much more loyal and loving that humans, I guess that is why it's easier to be attached to them sometimes. I understand how you must be feeling, especially since she's been with you since you were a child, that can't be easy loosing. I hope you feel better soon.

I for one is sick - again. I just had 14 days with a bad annoying cold and then I finally got well only to get a new virus and the past 2 days I have been in my bed drinking tea, I haven't even been able to draw!!:shock: I so hate being sick.

oh my Chantal, Im so sorry. Thats almost exactly what I went through a few years ago when our family cat, Midnight, died. We had her since I was about 8 I think and she died on my 20th birthday :( My family lives in another state so I wasnt with her either when she died. But like you said, I dont think I could handle it, being there in the room while they put her to sleep. But I still feel horrbile I couldnt be there, since she was my best friend for so long...it does sound silly to some people, but animals are the best friends. They never lie to you, they have no reason to and they just cant :p They dont use you, when they purr and show how happy they are, you know its sincere and they're not faking it :) and its weird, cause when something bad happens in your life they're always right next to you, like they know. My old cat was good at that, whenever my stomach would hurt she'd press her paws on it gently, it was so cute....or she'd just sit and look at me like she knew something was wrong. Robin, that usually goes for me too, but normally I have only headaches which I have almost grown used to and they can bring amazing inspiration in a weird kind of way. With the cold I have these days it just makes me weak and makes it almost impossible to draw. Anyway, it's getting better now, just hate the feeling of being sick. I can't wait for spring and summer, at least there is no colds for me during that time.

oh my Chantal, Im so sorry. Thats almost exactly what I went through a few years ago when our family cat, Midnight, died. We had her since I was about 8 I think and she died on my 20th birthday :( My family lives in another state so I wasnt with her either when she died. But like you said, I dont think I could handle it, being there in the room while they put her to sleep. But I still feel horrbile I couldnt be there, since she was my best friend for so long...it does sound silly to some people, but animals are the best friends. They never lie to you, they have no reason to and they just cant :p They dont use you, when they purr and show how happy they are, you know its sincere and they're not faking it :) and its weird, cause when something bad happens in your life they're always right next to you, like they know. My old cat was good at that, whenever my stomach would hurt she'd press her paws on it gently, it was so cute....or she'd just sit and look at me like she knew something was wrong. Exactly, there're just these split sharp feelings - you don't know what you would've wanted were you there anyway. One part of you says you'd've wanted to be there for her, but on the other hand it seems that were you there, the scene would've been something that never leaves your mind and thus it'd be much harder to get over the grief.

I love how you described the loyalty of a cat, it's so recognizable. They are the greatest empaths alive, I'm sure ;)

@Zindy - it's always like that eh.. sometimes you'd just wish to be ill because you feel like you need time for yourself, but when you are it's always bad timing and it never feels good or like having more time for yourself :roll:

Hehe exactly...the exam was from 9 to 5 :) Seriously...Itw as for design studio so it wasn't the typical exam...At 9 in the morning we were given a project...about spatial study....So we had to create a space...make drawings of it on a 22" x 28" paper and make the model of it out of styrene. :) So it wasn't exactly anything to learn for this but it was exhausting :)

It's not like me to ever fail a class:(, although, I always procrastinated, I used to get good grades. However, this semester it just got out of hand. Additionally, been feeling a little depress this semester and plus my lack of sleep have not helped at all. AARRRGGGhhhh.

Also, damn stupid UC Berkeley:roll:.... I regret going to this school because it seems that medical schools don't really care from which school you come from, as long as you have a high GPA you will be fine:mad::mad::mad:. I should of gone to an easier school.:(

yeah our name is on that list too but still have others calling here! this one company constantly calls here asking if we're home owners and we've told them severalllll times we live in a damn apartment, and they still dont get it. Then we get insurance companies calling here, that was a stupid mistake by my husband I think...he was on Progessive insurance site and put our number in there to see if we could get a rate thingie I guess, which I dont know why he did that, its pretty much just a ploy to get your number and call and hassle you...ugh!
