hey well I guess i'm going to post some of my drawings .Which one do you like most? Any Constructive critism would be greatly appreciated.

This is a full body drawing of Britany Spears that I got from a photo spread. Made this for extra credit in Drawing and got an A+ on it.

This drawing was sup[osed to be of Eliza Dushku but it turned out to look like somebody else. I'm not quite sure who though.

I would say you have to work on your proportions... I know that it's hard... I also have some trouble with it... ;( And try no to make the hard lines. :) Show some more ;)

I like the first pic, though I think you could work on the shading of her pants a little more. But I think you made a good job anyway.

I think the second pic looks like a mixture of JLo/Mariah Carey somehow :? I don't know, maybe it's just me.

And the third pic... I don't think you spent much time on that drawing...

But I think you're a pretty good artist for being 14-15 (?) years

there very nice drawings :D but its to bad that they are a bit blurry (if i say it right) maby u can ad a bit more dark shades, and make the lines in the face a bit more, ehm... don't know how to say it in english :P a bit less sharp, or think, don't know how to say it, hope u understand :D

thank you maiii thats really sweet. I'm sory that the pictures are so blurry. I used a digi camera because my familys scanner was really old and well it decided not to work ...we are in the process of getting a new one though. sorry again and ... proportions...in general are tough..most of the drawing i only spend an hour or so on so i just think i have to make more time for myself to draw. Thanx again!!!

I darkened up her shirt a lot and yet her hair isn't dark enough. Also opened her mouth ...it looks better i think.

i think on the first one, since u darkened the shirt u should darken the rest, cause it doesn't look right :? and the christina one, the pants are good but the face looks nothing like her, and the last one the proportions look all wrong..but i do like the drawings of the eyes, :D

thanx guys...and by the way i did darken the hair on the "girl" just didn't come out dark enough. Thanks alot tash...i took a long time ...well no only about an hour...in Govertnment economics shading them in.

jay! really great idea to draw the "whole" person and not only a portrait or face.. you inspired me to draw that as well! so i took a christina photo and drew it.. it is not totally finished yet, but i'll post it here soon.. ^^ watch out at "sonnycutie's drawings" lol..

oh hmmm... well i always color my lips all in marker and then go over it with white charcoal, then outline it in black again...yeah i have weird ways of doing my art... :D

it's very recognizable, the only thing that comes to my mind is darker shadows in the face? But maybe the reference pic didn't have many shadows! It look fine, I'm sure your cousin will like it! :)

It's really recognizable and you did a good job on it. Besides to what Luna already said, I would work a little bit more on the hair to turn out the brighter and darker parts.
But the proportions are very well done.

It's good. The eyebrows don't exactly match but that's just Christina most of the time. And I'm not sure but the eyelahes along the bottom lid might run a bit to far. I don't think they should go that close to the corner of the cornea. But not sure.

I saw the original photo of Christina some days ago and I recognized your drawing right away. I think it's a good drawing. The only thing is her under lip looking a little too big and the left side of the nose lack a little of shading.. But a very nice drawing overall :)

Strong higlightenings and shadows on the face would look good I think. and try not to use lines surrounding the lips. Try shading them darker instead :)

My new drawing. I bought this new book called female figures. It shows you step by ste how to draw one. At first the now gymnist was naked made me a bit uncomfortable so i put a leatard on her.

wow being sick suckes im sick again throat hurts.....my dad got out of the hospital he had to get his gallbladder removed. nasty i know now hes using that to get me to clean the house. and unfortunetly its working i get this guilty feeling ...i drew some dootles last night i was ripped because i had gotten into this petty fight with my parents.soo i'll get those 0on later today.

I like the drawing although I think you should avoid outlining. Try to think of lines as varying thicknesses of shadow.If you look at the drawings of some of the other artists you'll notice that they create the shape by using shadows and negative space.

Hi! Your drawings are great! What have I walked into? I thought I could share my progress in learning to draw but everyone on the forum is an International Bright Young Thing who draws like a dream.

Dragons are real? I looooove dragons, but that story out of Romania sounds silly. It could be true that ancient people found old dinosaur bones they couldn't explain so that's how the legends started. Especially in China, where the locals knew for centuries there were big bone fossils in Chi Chia Kou, or "Chicken Bone Hill". Archeologists had a look and found some of the first-discovered dinosaur fossils there.

I think you should draw the second one despite the fact everyone's drawing Green Day (and despite I'm going to be drawing that GD pic next :wink: ) because it looks like it's got more character and you won't have to draw Tre's crazy facial expression. Plus I think the second one will give you lots of practice with hair ...
But it's your choice, which band do you like better and how much do you like each picture. Or just draw both.

(Is anyone else on the same boat? I have no idea who the All- American Rejects are :roll: )

Well sure your baby drawing is already good. I think the proportions are just right. You can begin with shadowing now.

Thank you soooo much. Unfortunetly the scanner lost a lot of my shading which sucks so when i finish it i will post it from a camera it seemed to show more. again thank you. Thats a great comment boost's my ego. lol

this is my drawng. I honestly think I made many mistakes but tell me what you think about my shading. I leaned my attention more towards shading then accuracy but I'm still somewhat happy with the outcome.

hey :)
well you made some proportions mistakes. Look how the eyes stand in the ref (I moslty draw a horizontal line through them and then draw a line parallel to that on my drawing) Youc an use that technique on almost evry line in the face. You may also go darker on your drawing :)

looks very nice :) The portpotions aren`t that bad either in my opinion. But I would try to make it darker, so you get a little more contrast :)

The drawing looks really good, there are some mistakes with the proportions but it still looks good. The hair and the strap of her top looks quite rushed though you should try and take more time with it. The skin tone should be darker too, maybe as dark as a a 3 or 4b.

I'm really sorry i havent posted in so long
Todays been really hard for me. I had to go to the vet and say my final goodbyes to my dog Tucker. He was anemic and wasnt respondng to treatment so he's being put to sleep as i type this... im gonna miss him. You might see a drawing of him pop up in a couple days.

Well hello again everyone i havent been on here in forever and i have a lot of new work here's just a few new pieces of mine.

I rushed this a bit only spend about an hour on it. I used an HB pencil for this one.

I've been taking crazy amounts of time on this drawing in total i've spent about 8 hours on it only because it's my art term project. Unfortunetly i hate it and it still looks rushed and out of proportion to me and ...i'm losing faith in it...and well its too late to start a new term project so this is the WIP so far:

As you can see the background is giving me so much trouble...i cant find anything to get it dark enough ...and frankly haha i want to give up...her face is screwed up majorly too she looks chubby.. ugh not my intent at all...

Girl drawing...it came out of my head i dont know who it is supossed to be but to me she looks sorta buggeyed...haha

Emily a girl from my art class sat for like ten minutes while my class drew her quickly after returning from a display at The Hood Museum where Rembrants prints hung. We then carved the drawing out on a pad of zinc and made prints using a print press. This is a crappy copy of one of my prints but I like it with the amount of time we were allowed to create it in.

I especially love the Marilyn Monro, very good job and very recognisable. looking forward to seeing more. I think you should have a go with a softer pencil in some areas to darken it up. It's difficult not to worry about going to dark but you have to trust yourself, i think it will bring your drawings out even more!! really good job though :)

And the truth is my advanced drawing class at my highschool is having us do landscapes with pen and ink and i wanted to try people and see how I could do.
