Hi Helena,

It looks great so far, but since you have no trouble at all drawing hair I think you should finish the hair to give the picture a more complete feeling.

Leon is 15 by the way and the youngest and bravest of us.... as you might see ;) ;) He's a cutie.

I might do some beauty changes (on the hair specially) if I will still have time after finishing the other 3 ones ;) ;) But I am really a little stressed to do them all :) :rolleyes: If I would only be Tash....she's much faster ;) ;)


Did I tell already that the party is on saturday and that all my family is comming? I am excited to see them again. My mums relations (is this the right word??) are comming from Stuttgart area and I don't see them very often. My uncles and my grandpa are artists too....I'm a little scared what they will say ;) :confused: Anyhow its a present for my mum and she will like it of this I'm sure ;)

Started my older brother Benjamin (Beni). He's 27 and allover hairy as you see ;) I truely hate his hair from yesterday on. I will never draw him again, only if he shaves and cut his hair ;)

It's so obvious you are family, it's really interesting to see them. Your big brother really has the same smile you do, and the overall expression is so alike.
I think it's good that you finished the hair. However I would work a bit more on it and darken it a little, so it will have more depth. Also in the top the hair overlap each other, looks a bit unnatural. But you already mentioned you would work more on the hair so I guess you already know :)
I think you draw quite fast too... and you definitely must feel a bit stressed doing all the portraits. But so far you are doing great :)

I finished my family serie.....
I am glad that I could finish it that fast. It was a very strange but nice experience for me cause I don't realy like to draw people I love cause being afraid of making it not perfect ;)
I gotta say that it was nice to draw my sister and my brothers cause it was so obvious that we look a lot alike. Made me feel more near to them and gave drawing a special feeling.

I truely hope that they like the drawing and my mum and dad for sure too ;)

It was also nice to take the time to draw 4 drawings from sunday till today (thursday) and feeling that I can, if I hurry, make it without messing the drawings totally up. I know that I could do some things much better but I am still quite satisfied. The biggest nightmare was Beni's hair, as I guessed before ;)

After framing and watching them a little more, I gotta say that I am satisfied with all the drawings except my selfportrait. I used a strange pic as a reference cause I wanted it somehow to fit my sisters. My mouth looks strange on this one and so does the righ eye cause it is so dark and maybe a little small.... anyhow.

Strange sometimes I have another feeling about some drawings then others do. I like this one also but it needed some time looking at it. I am always not sure about my coal drawings. Somehow I do like the results but I don't like making them..... hm.... :confused:. Some kind of mixed feeling. As Brian wrote it is to messy for him...it is indeed and it stresses to see the finger-dots everywhere ;)

Nice to see you back Helena! Wow, those first three drawings are incredible, each
one
is perfect and so realistic, very nice shading and contrast!
I like the Jake drawing very much too, its a very difficult angle to draw from. I like the
colourful background, and the textured effect on the ground looks really good. Keep up the beautiful work! :D
