Coraly: My scanner is broken since some time. I have to upload the software everytime I want to scan a picture... then I can scan one and have to do the whole procedure again :( When I have the chance I scan pics at my parents house :)

here he goes. I was drawing like insane today. It took me in total 6 hours now. I might change some small details when Stephan sees the pic (he is in a winter holiday till wednesday :cry: ) Thats why the pic is called

They're wonderful Helena, both of them! Those prints on the clothes must have been a real pain, yet you drew them so well, good job!

The leaves drawn in the first pic look absolutely gorgeous. Not too detailed, yet very recognizable. And the way the fabric folds near the arms and shoulders is very well done too!
The background of the second one looks great, but I like the logo on the shirt and the face even more! very detailed and very realistic!

Anne... I was faster than I thaught I would :) It strangely took me only 4.5 hours. Maybe because it is quite small ... the pic you see is on A4 but not the whole paper ;)

Done with a HB and a 3B pencil. I smudged only the couch, her sweater and the background with some tissue. The frame is done with a 8B pencil.

Looks good to me, just wish it was a scan so we could see the colours more correctly, looks very dark. The shading looks a little rough and uneven which surprise me since you used soft pastels right? Usually my pastels look very smooth and not rough at all... but definitely a nice drawing and a pretty motive.

It's not always about getting it 100% the same as the reference pic. you can also use a reference pic as a 'base' or 'guide' for your drawing. Your drawing still looks like Elena and I think that's more important than the copy of a pic. In my drawing they look nothing alike then in the reference, but when i look at my drawing I still can recognize them.... (a bit :) haha )...oh dear my drawing is bad! But anyways, I had fun drawing them :)

you are surely right about that. but do you know that... when you draw something special and you want it to become perfect and it doesn't.... this is how it is ;) ususally I don't care that much. I've had that only when I drew Zindy and Elena... strange...

I am very unhappy with my technical situation at the moment. My pc at home doesn't work anymore. My scanner is broken for almost a year now. My digital cam is not showing the pics as they are...always to light. If I change the ratio at the scanner at work it shows them to dark. SUCKS!

I want you to know that I don't answer to posts that much because I can't use my pc at home :( sorry ;)

...but now I have a lot of time to draw ;) No pc, no TV, nothing... just muscic and pencils ;) :) :) (I'm living at the end of the world now ;))
