Everytime I try to draw things they come out looking horrible, I try and draw what I see but it comes out weird looking. I usually work with a regular hb pencil. I want to be able to know what im doing so I can work with my pastels. So does anyone have any tips on what I should try to make my work come out better? Im so horrible drawing faces

kristen we would honestly have to see some of your work to critique it...if we can't see it then we don't know what it looks like..haha that's an awesome quote:

I really like it too.
For having a good look at your pic, the angle isn't that good. But as far as I can see, you did a good job with this.
My only tip for you is to try other penciles, e.g. 4B. It's quite a difference.

Well it's good...... but don't say it is crappy. Because then it sounds like you are trying to get people to say o no it is not.

kristen, drawing isn't a contest. Don't compare your work to other people's, compare it to drawings you've done in the past. As with everything in life, there's always going to be someone better than you. I sound like Dr. Phil.
I really like the drawing. It's very clean..next time you take the picture of your drawing take it from a different angle though because taking the picture at that angle distorts it i'm sure.
