hi, i started a new drawing a week ago, i ha only the eyes
yesterday i started to work on it
what do you think?
any tips?

Get used to it Rifty. Few people come here and you won't get fast reply. Even when I put my website on, and I really worked hard on it, I was so excited to show it to all you guys: well I didn't get a single reply, not on my post and not on my website guestbook :cry:

But your picture: I think I recognize someone in it, could it be Lindsay Lohan?
U know the basics and it's a good drawing, but (sorry that there's a "but" :wink: ) your shading technique could be improved. It seems to me that you really color fields of different shades in. I'm sorry don't know exactly how to explain. But hey don't give up, I think this one's better than your Mk Olsen drawing!

i agree- i think you have those basics just right, i cant get my eyes round eenough, they usually look like eggs and deserve glasses :( but the shading, on the lips, look at them again and dont just colour the whole of it, notice the lip creeses, even wearing lip gloss there will be a shine or cracks seeping through, nobodies lips are flat, and where youv'e done that light part above the lip you drew were to start didnt you lol. because the bottom is dark, like a dark line. the teeth are good- usually when i do 2 teeth they look goofy more than smiling, hair is good too. :) you can tell youve done it almost stran by stran , and the forhead shading, thats also very good :P well done cant wait to see the end . oh and one more tip- the pupils of eyes are usually if not always parralell with the corners or the lips ;)

i think that the drawing is good but they, the drawing and the pic dont look very alike. i really like the drawing though :wink:

it's hard to tell if they're alike or not, because it's not the same size etc etc :P and if you zoom the face, the quality fades a little :(

Oi Matey!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!! :evil: Dont try and skip teh hard part :lol: those ears do exist :P WITH the earrings- you chose to draw it, you gotta draw those ears and its looking very good! :wink: :lol: and i recon it looks like her :)

hey great work rifty..i havent seen shading like yours before but i really like it...those ears wont be too difficult :wink: but the earring are another story...just wonderin though...where did you find that picture of lindsay? i've been wanting to draw her for a while if you can give me a linki'd appreciate that thanks

hey, i like your work. you have a very unique graphic-like style of drawing.i know this drawing is not ready yet, but i think you should work more on the shadows of her right cheak, it's too flat so her face seems to be too round.
love your nose...
