I haven't drawn for while but thought it was about time I finished a 'wip' - here it is! The scan isn't very good - i've tried and tried to get it to look like the actual drawing but to no avail :x

It's actually done with bog-standard coloured pencils and pastels. I used some watercolour pencils for the hair and background (i always leave the hair til last and rush it because I want to finish the picture!) and watered it done, hence why I think it won't scan properly.

But the hair at your drawing looks great!

The same like on my drawings....It takes many time for the details on the face and after this I don't want to take many time for the hair, and then the picture looks not so good anymore :(

Hi Bo. Brilliant! :shock: I think everybody concentrates so much on the face that the hair becomes an afterthought. I have forced myself to draw the whole portrait so that I spend equal time on the features. Hopefully creating a finished, balanced drawing :wink:

I think the face is really beautiful, especially the eyes! They're stunning! But I have some doubts about the hair and background... It looks a bit rushed... I think the roughness is a bit too much contrasting with the softness of the face! :)
