Faces - favourite part to draw

This question goes out for all of you who love drawing faces.

I was just wondering what part of the face you love drawing the most?
I definitely prefer the eyes. I love creating/capture the emotions which shows in the eyes. I think that's a real challenge :)

Eyes are also my favourite part of the face to draw, followed closely by the mouth. These two aspects are the most expressive parts of the face. Get them right and - WOW! :D

I'd have to agree in part with art15. I like drawing the eyes about as much as I like drawing the lips. Before I focused on portraits though I liked to draw the arms and legs the most in full body stances. But that doesn't have to do with the face.... :oops:

I have no part of the face i love to draw most. I think emotions are not only shown in the eyes but all over the face.

I have to say that in every drawing I do of faces I always draw the eyes first - the rest of the face I can't seem to draw as well but as long as the eyes are as good as they can get then it doesn't seem so bad. I just can't seem to get the hang of lips and hair though.

The eyes are what people look at first. Get them right and the rest of the drawing usually falls into place. You'll get there - trust me :wink:

My favourite part are also the eyes. Years ago I couldn't draw them very well. Then I've seen a street artist and she really impressed me. Her drawn eyes were sooo wonderful. I think that's why I let myself draw by her twice...

I like to draw the eyes too. Also the lips, cause I like to put the shadow on it. Usual I am only drawing eyes, what makes the other parts of the face not so well. But at the moment I am trying to get better in hands. :)

I dont like drawing eyes at all, i love to color them.
I dont think i draw realism eyes good at all... i just cant seem to line them up properly when the head is tilted. So i stick to a somewhat anime eye... *sigh*

But the thing i like to draw on the face iiisss... *thinks* lips, especially with a slight smile to them. ^_^

Eyes are my favorite part. I spend like an hour doing the eyes, and by that time my hands hurt and I'll end up rushing the rest of the picture. I tried leaving the rest to do later, Lol I just end up forgetting about it then.

Most people here seem to like to draw eyes the most, and I have to say that I agree.
The mouth comes a very close second for me. I enjoy sketching faces with a open (screaming) mouth, its a lot more exciting when you can see their teeth and tongue.

I think they tell the whole mood and story behind a person. You can always tell by the eyes, they never lie! :D

I really hate drawing the teeth... unless it's color, somehow, everything seems to look better when I'm drawing a color pic, compared to just a pencil. Eyes, almost always look pretty good on my drawings, but it takes so long for me to get it right... If I'm drawing a face, sometimes the eyes take up 50% of the time taken to draw it. The nose is fun to draw, though getting the shape and shading of it is difficult.

I love drawing eyes to because it so much u can do to make diffrent emotions and the persons mood all depends on the eyes. The eye gives out most of the information u need. Go zindy ;)

mouth challenges me
hair annoys me after 5 minutes ( I'm so lazy)
skin is what i do 1st cuz it kinda is the easiet
and noses i get always wrong
teeth i never dare to try^^
