I most often use pencil but after seeing some coal drawings would like to try and use it. However I've tried it on a few different occasions and it doesn't seem to work out quite the same. Are there any tricks to using coal or any tips that anyone could give me?Anything would be helpful. Thanks

I use charcoal, and have found that sometimes the best effects come from not being too careful.

Charcoal is messy, and has a will of its own, if you work with this you will see its not that hard. Also if you want to do detailed work, then I can recommend that you use earbuds, or that other American word for them which I cannot remember at the momet... :D ahhh yes a q-tip

I grew up un South Africa, which accounts for my groovy english..hehe And as for the danish, well I was born that way, cant change that... :D
